Strategic alliance boasts worldwide benefits for WYG

WYG has today announced a global strategic alliance with Switzerland-based, Magnum Technology Solutions.

The new alliance will enable the global multi-disciplinary consultancy and Magnum Technology Solutions, a leading company in providing innovative construction materials, to collaborate on a worldwide basis to deliver cost effective, pre-engineered turnkey housing and construction solutions.

The alliance is already working on a number of opportunities in the United Arab Emirates and has a pipeline of prospects across the Asia-Pacific region, India and the African continent.

Paul Hamer, Chief Executive Officer, WYG said: “We are delighted to be teaming up with Magnum Technology Solutions and look forward to drawing on the numerous synergies between our two companies and pursuing these across our chosen markets.

“As we build on our global integrated strategy, this new partnership will help strengthen our client offering in our international markets. By utilising the Magnum Technology product, we can significantly reduce the current cost, complexity and overall timescale to deliver turnkey housing solutions. The simplicity of the product also allows the team to utilise local construction labour and thus help build capacity in the local economy.”

Abbas Pirani, Chief Technical Officer, Magnum Technology Solutions said: “WYG has been working with us for sometime supporting our new technology - Magnum Panel Systems - which allows us to set new standards in environmentally friendly building. Magnum Panel Systems are made from magnesium oxide and are both lighter and cheaper than any current building material available on the market.

“Now we have formed this strategic alliance, we see many benefits for both companies and we are looking forward to developing this relationship further. We will benefit from WYG’s extensive global network in the construction and development sector and we believe that this partnership enables us to draw upon the technical expertise of both companies.”

Mr Hamer continued: “As an enterprising business with the foresight to meet both the industry’s and our clients’ future needs we are always looking at new ways to support the critical move to a low-carbon economy and provide our clients with cost effective solutions.

“I am pleased, therefore, that we can now offer clients highly efficient, cost effective housing solutions based on Magnum Technology Solutions’ new building product - Magnum Panel Systems.”
